Reflecting on the week. now ending we gather all that has been and reflecting, rejoicing, repenting and praying for it all, we lay it at the foot of the cross and head for our beds in anticipation of the Eucharist tomorrow and the Presentation.

The light of Christ surround us, The peace of God uphold us, And the things of the day challenge and bless us as we pray for all that this day has been and head for us beds in readiness for a new day of blessings given and received.

Gathering all before us, we come to the Lord and praying for all the day has been, held and delivered we lay it at the foot of the cross as we head to our beds and sleep.

Grant us a quiet night and a peaceful end we pray.

Holocaust Memorial Day and as we reflect on loss and the cruelty of humanity we also reflect on the acts of good people and the love of a God who takes on flesh that we might be reconciled to God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).

Compline (night prayer) - Tuesday, 26 January 2021

So many things take on a greater import and sadness when milestones are passed.

Today as the UK death toll passes 100,000 deaths we commit those whose lives have gone to Your Grace, love, care and mercy.

We pray also for them that mourn and for the healing of our world in all its brokeness.

As we gather all that the day has contained we reflect, rejoice, repent and release all into God's gracious and kindly care as we head for our beds.

Lord may sleep be the gift and reality of of all this night.

Our day reaches its completion and as we reflect and commit all that has been to the Lord we bring our thanks and praise for all that it has been.

That done, entrusting ourselves and all creation into God's hands, we head for bed.

and in the incessant rain, especially for those who are homeless at this time.
