Compline (night prayer) - Wednesday, 21 July 2021

As we bring the day to its close,
gathering up the brightly coloured joyful things,
the darker shades of failure and sadness,
framed with the purposes of the day (perhaps unheeded),
We head for our beds and a new day in which to bless others.
