Compline (night prayer) - Sunday, 3 May 2020

And so the sun has set and the day is ended.

So we come and with repentance, tanks and praise we pray for the world, for the needs of those we know and for ourselves as we prepare for bed and rest.

In peace we will lie down and sleep; for you alone, Lord, make us dwell in safety.

Abide with us, Lord Jesus, for the night is at hand and the day is now past.

As the night watch looks for the morning, so do we look for you, O Christ.
