Election 2019: Who are you going to vote for?

This is the big question before us, and as a Church of England Priest I have been encouraging people to find out the truth behind the words they so often repeat with regard to this election. We all need to be challenging the many things that are said for content, attitudes and language and should all be asking those who 'tell the truth' to give their sources and provide the evidence as to the truth behind the words.

Where I am we have managed to secure the attendance of the six candidates for our constituency and they will all be in attendance at a Hustings in our town this coming Thursday:

There have already been a number of questions sent in and I'm sure that more will be added from the floor on the night as we see democracy made real before us.

Regardless of where you live or how you vote, can I encourage you to find such an event where you live and attend it (please?). Make your vote count and ensure that your voice is heard at next week's election.

Not only that but please read the various manifesto documents and take some time to think about the contents of them - When I said this to someone today they claimed the document were not available, so to help you find them, the links to them are posted below (the Brexit Party is a summary because I could find the full thing):

The Brexit Party (summary)

The Conservative party

The Green Party:

The Labour Party

Liberal Democrats

UKIP

PLEASE VOTE - it's what democracy is all about.
