The fourth 'O' Antiphon (20, December): O Clavis David

Today is the fourth day in the Advent journey (17- 23, December) in which the 'O' Antiphons feature.

Today it's the turn of 'O Clavis David' - take a look at the translation below and ponder upon Jesus, the Christ and his first advent in Bethlehem.

O Key of David and Sceptre of the house of Israel,
Who opens that which no one can shut,
Who shuts that which no one can open,
Come and bring forth from his prison cell the captive that sits in darkness and the shadow of death."
