Today is the fifth day in the Advent journey (17- 23, December) in which the 'O' Antiphons feature.
Today it's the turn of 'O Oriens' - take a look at the translation below and ponder upon Jesus, the Christ and his first advent in Bethlehem.
O Dawn of the East,
Brightness of the Light Eternal and Sun of Justice,
Come and enlighten them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death.
