The day is coming to its close and there is so much buzzing in our heads from the day's encounters, challenges, blessings and sorrow. Today people have entered and left the world and there are joy and tears. People hold vigil beside the bedsides of the dying and celebrate new arrivals.
God lends us people and then, when their life ends, we bring them back and thank Him for the loan. Compline is the place where the peaks and troughs are levelled so we can find our way to bed and sleep.
