Compline (night prayer) - Monday, 18 January 2021 (day 1: WPCU)

On this the first day of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity we pray for all Christians everywhere and as our day closes, we pass on the baton and the blessings their day opens before them.

May the Bride of Christ shine with the light of His love.

May the Church be one as Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one - Hallelujah!

First Day of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - Monday, 18 January 2021

The theme this year is 'Abiding in Christ' and day one is 'Called by God'. It contains Bible readings, a meditation, some challenges and (of course) prayer.

Completion: In a world of so much unfinished business, a sweet and hopeful word indeed. But our day is done and all that it has contained is laid at the foot of the cross with the promise of healing and forgiveness made real.

Lord, this night grant us rest, tomorrow bring us us opportunity.

Lord, in our service of compline we bring all to You and seek you light and peace for our world.
