The weekend ends and as we head for bed in readiness of the new week we pray for all people, places and situations asking that we might be the means by which love, peace and justice are made real in our world and healing in those who struggle this night.

Picking over the fragments of the day we pray for all who feel unsafe and threatened and for those who have lost loved ones to violence and pray that the light and love of God, and a discipline that protects others will be known in our world.

Lord this night comfort all who mourn, protect all who serve and overcome wickedness and sin by the light of your presence we pray. Grant us sleep this night that we might serve tomorrow.

Father of all, we bring the day before you with reflection, prayer and thanks for all it has contained. Entrusting all into Your care we head for our bed in the knowledge that Christ died for us, so that, whether we wake or sleep, we may live with Him.

The day comes to its end and we gather the remnant of it before us and reflect, repent and pray over them.
That done, we commend those departed this life to the Lord and head for our beds and sleep.
