Compline (night prayer) - Tuesday, 4 August 2020

My Mother used to pray by my bed at night using the words:
"Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. 
 If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take." 

Compline is much in the same vogue as this except that we look outside ourselves a little more and it's the Christ sitting beside us!
