These violent delights have violent ends ....Romeo and Juliet

This weekend sees a production of Romeo and Juliet in the amazing venue that is Middleton Hall.

Tickets have gone like wildfire and there are just a few left for the Sunday - so why not engage in a bit of culture (after you have paid your respects somewhere else for Remembrance Sunday)?

The grey-eyed morn smiles ...

The opening words spoken by Friar Laurence in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Recently, a challenge came knocking, perhaps one of the most testing of those I have taken on, with the invitation to play the woeful friar. It's been an interesting journey thus far as I attempt to do the role of Friar Laurence justice.
