Anzac Day - Saturday, 25 April 2020

Every year we hold an Anzac Day service at the National Memorial Arboretum.

It's a service filled with emotion and meaning.

This year, having been unable to do this, I post here a tribute and remembrance to those young men who marched away from Australia and New Zealand never to return and to those who returned broken by their service in distant lands in a war that was far from them and their ken.

I hope this service ticks some of the boxes for those unable to pay their respects elsewhere today.

Honouring those who died in Tunisia

This morning the town of Tamworth came to a standstill as people crowded into St Editha's church and the town centre to pay their respects to those from our town, and nation, those who died on a sunny beach just a week ago.

We prayed for all those who had been injured and for those who were distressed and troubled by the events that cost, and changed, so many lives - praying especially for:
