Government departments to lose logos and websites

Oh No! I've just read an article about the various Government departments losing their individual logos in favour of a colour-variant of the Royal Crest. Not only that but the many departmental websites will be merged into one 'Governmental' site.

So instead of the following:

We will have a variant of:

An instead of the myriad of website we will have one receptacle which holds all the departments.

Sounds like an idea (if it saves money that is!).
