The news is that Morgan Freeman is not dead but is merely another famous name who has been declared so by some sick hoaxer. This is where the wildfire kneelerk resoonse machine that is Facebook, Twitter and all the other social media sites fall short as the forest fire of tributes (which on the bright side the man gets to read) pour in.
So, if you see this story:
"At about 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, our beloved actor Morgan Freeman passed away due to a artery rupture. Morgan was born on June 1, 1937. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page."
Don't regurgitate it - for like Mark Twain, it appears rumours of the man's death are misreported.
