The end of a week and so we sift through the fragments and reflect and pray over it all. That done we hand it, and ourselves, into God's loving care and head for bed and sleep.
Tomorrow we begin a week off, but there will be links to services on our FaceBook page.

Tonight as we trudge wearily to our prayers and praying for all people and everything we pass on the baton of prayer and praise and head for our beds. Tomorrow (St Valentine's Day) the Church celebrate the greatest love; a love that overcomes death and sets us free!

Compline (night prayer) - Friday, 12 February 2021
The end of another week where there has been loss, challenge, dodgy governments and foolish people on display a plenty (and that's before we examine ourselves).
Reflecting on it all we hand it to God and scuttle off to our beds in readiness for another day.

Compline (night prayer) - Wednesday, 10 February 2021
The close of a day in which we have been blessed and been a blessing;
in which we have succeeded and failed;
where we have given and received forgiveness.
All laid at the foot of the cross as we head for bed.
in which we have succeeded and failed;
where we have given and received forgiveness.
All laid at the foot of the cross as we head for bed.

Compline (night prayer) - Tuesday, 9 February 2021
One of those evenings when technology conspires to challenge us, but we merely smile and overcome: Just like we (hopefully) did during the day now ending!
As we lay all before us we praiseYou Lord that we are more than conquerors - for we are redeemed and we are Yours. Hallelujah!
As we lay all before us we praiseYou Lord that we are more than conquerors - for we are redeemed and we are Yours. Hallelujah!

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness can not overcome it.

The day ends with so many needs before us - how can we not pray?
So many blessings given and received - how can we not rejoice?
So many far away from the knowledge of the love of God - how can we not weep?
Lord, in Your mercy - hear our prayers.

As we look towards Lent we examine the day (and ourselves) in preparation for the arduous journey to the Cross.
