Made me Smile: Autocorrect

Having recently been sent a document where, thanks to autocorrect, one of the people doing a reading happened to be satan (should have been 'Stan') I find this quite funny:

I did a service recently where the computer had transmuted:

'Father God, we thank you' into 'Father God, wet gab you!'

Proof reading is still a much needed (if not more so these days) art it seems.

Christmas Wayside Pulpits (3) - 'No Christmas for you!'

Not sure what this did when I saw (having just read a post from a cleric complaining that "Christmas doesn't only have the midnight services but another one on the Christmas morning (and that is just too much!)" this:

Come on people get a life - happens once a year and if you weren't 'doing it' you'd still be at it wouldn't you?

You would still be going wouldn't you?

Christmas Wayside Pulpits (2) Controvertial

This got loads of flak when it first appeared but it certainly brought about some discussion:

This appeared outside St Matthew's in the City, Auckland and it was daubed, attacked and in the end, removed.

Sometimes I wonder if we try too hard, but then again . . . .Wonder if I dare . . . . . ?

Christmas Wayside Pulpits (1)

I love this to the extent that I'm just about to make it big enough to go into our noticeboard outside.

Any links to others that have impressed more than appreciated,

Christian One-Liners

I've been looking at one-liners that have been used in services, sermons and wayside pulpits. Here's ten that I rather like (more welcome):

1. Give God what's right - not what's left.

2. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

3. Being 'almost saved' is to be totally lost.

4. Those who kneel before God can stand anywhere.

5. God grades on the cross, not the curve.

6. Don't put a question mark where God puts a full-stop.

7. Let God's love carry you into church before six strong-men do the job.

8. Plan ahead - It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

9. Caution - Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.

10. Many desire to serve God - in an advisory
position!
