The Saints and Patristics team at Tamworth Theological college has unearthed documentary proof that in fact St Teresa of Avila was not a Spaniard at all but came from Witton and had her convent overlooking the Aston Villa ground. For year's theologians have toiled in the misunderstanding that it was 'Avilla' when all along it was actually 'Aston Villa'!
At last we can display the icon that confirms what has long been suspected and also explain away that loss of Arsenal last week to the claret and blues:

I thought Saint Patristic's day was in March.
St. Teresa was one of my favourite Spanish saints, but as I grew up in Wolverhampton, this new scholarship means she must be replaced in my affections by someone less Villainous.
