Wow, what a shocking image!
I regularly deal with homeless people who were members of HM Forces and have been refused housing upon leaving the forces as the starting point for their current situation.
Had one recently who came back to his (and his wife's) home town only to be told that he'd need to ask Aldershot council for housing as they'd been in married quarters there. When he explained that parents, grandparents and other relatives (for both) were in the area they were told that they should have no problem getting someone to put them up then!
A disgrace that shouldn't happen (now) and needs to be the focus of legislation (now).
