Palm Crosses - an ecological initiative

I wonder how many of you are trying out the new ecological initiative whereby people are bringing their crosses back to church today for a 're-dedication' rather than coming for yet another cross. If 60% of the crosses given out last year on Palm Sunday come back for re-dedication today this will save some 120,000 Palm trees from the now threatened species 'Arecaceae' and will free some 12,000 Middle Eastern workers to engage in the all to necessary work of irrigation and engaging in cultivating much needed skills in the execution of the ancient practice of 'Ludus Duodecim Scriptorum' in their local communities (which has to be good).

So we look forward to our cross rededication service this morning in the hope that we will keep Palm Sunday and by using our palm crosses today and at the beginning of next year's Lentern season will indeed find that we have done something wonderful and perhaps even rather miraculous.

So - take your palm cross out from behind your rear-view mirror, take it down from the wall and bring it back in to re-dedicate your cross today.

I know a vicar who's wife reminded him it was palm Sunday about 8 30 pm the night before, I bet he wished he had told people about this last year?
