The 777 crash - a cartoonist speaks

I have always had a special place for those cartoonists whose wicked and biting satirical humour speaks volumes without words or pulls you up short and makes you reflect (Gerald Scarfe being one such person). The ability to speak so very loudly without saying (or even writing) a word is a great talent.

This was my experience today with this cartoon:


Stopped me short and brought me back to praying about the situation from a different direction.

It's about now that the 'I've given up brigade' start to become just a little  . . . . . .   (insert your word here) as having made it past the first weekend (and often indulged in what they've given up because Sundays are outside of Lent) the Pharisee in all of us begins to bite.
