At Last: Atheists say believers are right!

Here's a great image - and a great opportunity to defend (or otherwise) one's position (with a smile)"

Happy Saturday people

no Vic- they are all wrong. Atheists "believe" that the human spirit is the essence- not your imaginary friends interpreted by power hungry clerics of any shade. Stop talking bollocks and get on with rattling your beads (or whatever you do) at your deity.
I don't care, I don't want to convert you, carry on slaughtering each other if you like, your god images mean utterly nothing to me- don't you understand? I'm indifferent, that's what makes me an atheist.

So, with 93% of all the wars that history notes having no theist roots and atheist regimes being responsible for mores deaths than you can shake a stick at - I guess we can celebrate those who believe the b****cks about the 'human spirit in essence'!

Still, good to find a moderate who's happy to let me think and believe as I do - thanks for the comment.

"The point should be obvious that religion has certainly played a part in much of the warfare in human history. However, does this prove the point made by the critics of religion that religion itself is the cause of war? The answer is “yes” and “no.” “Yes” in the sense that as a secondary cause, religion, on the surface at least, has been the impetus behind much conflict. However, the answer is “no” in the sense that religion is not usually the primary cause of war.

- the Crusades were of course a con-trick by the church to get a bit of peace and quiet in Europe, and they did inherit your land and possessions if you died.....

The French Wars of Religion, The Thirty Years' War, Troubles in Northern Ireland, all Christian punch-ups. The Taliban are as peaceful as Zen monks.....Like I said Vic, Bollocks- (and god gave them to you by the way so at least let yourself say it......)

Good comments indeed - and totally agree about the turf war and distraction that was The Crusaded.

Thank you for the permission (or perhaps encouragement even) to engage in the art of testicular utterance - think I'll pass on that if you don't mind :-)
