Fire Brigade death in Manchester
As someone who grew up in a home which was dominated by the London Fire Brigade and the daily potential for injury or death every time the bells went down I find myself especially saddened by the death of Manchester firefighter Stephen Hunt last night.
One of the realities of a 'smoke eaters' life is that of never knowing what perils the next shout might bring or what sights the fire fighter might be subject to - something those outside of the job can so easily be ignorant of, or immune to.
Please pray for the family and friends of Stephen Hunt, his colleagues on his watch and those in his brigade (and all fire fighters).
