More and more each Christmas I engage with people who are less and less aware of the Christmas story and the fact that Jesus is not only the reason for the season but is also the person after whom it is all named. Jesus, the Christ, is the reason it's called 'CHRISTmas'.


It's a bit of a shocker for those of us who have been around a while to hear that a little over ten percent of the adults in this land know what, where and how the nativity story goes.

It's a bit of a sad thing to discover that around half of the adults reckon Jesus has no relevance to Christmas (it's up there with the woman who told me off for, 'Hijacking Easter' as we began our Good Friday 'act of witness'!)
