Having a bit of a relax Vicar?

It seems that opinion oscillates between, "This must be your busy time," and the even more frustrating, "Must be nice only working for an hour on Sunday!"

To add to this there is the, "Does the Vicar have a drink problem?" joke which usually accompanies our restocking the church with port oft communion (it's not a bad port and comes in quite a bit cheaper than buying the 'proper' stuff).

So far today the relax has seen me with a day that just hasn't stopped yet and won't for at least another couple of hours so be warned:

Ask me if I'm enjoying my 'bit of a relax' at your peril

:)

Where's your church again?

We get something rather pale and insipid and then after the sermon we get a pale sherry which is well watered down and some rice paper from some monastery.

Think Regimental Port looks like a much better deal.

Always popular when we do a tasting session for a new communion wine.

As for the wafers, didn't they used be flying saucer shaped and have sherbet in them?

Ever since I was chapel warden at Ridley, I have thought that those who use a white/amber wine have a point. Red makes washing the linen so much more difficult. Haven't had the courage to tackle this one in the benefice yet, though - but then I don't do the holy laundry any more!
