Former Royal Marine Funeral - Tamworth (Friday 12th April)

Just a quick update for those thinking of coming to the funeral service of Albert Vaughan at St Editha's Church, Tamworth (the Staffordshire, not the AUS, variety).

The service will take place at St Editha's at 12:30 with the committal following on afterwards at Sutton Crematorium at 13:30.

St Editha's Church: Church St, Tamworth, Staffordshire B79 7BX

Sutton Crematorium: Tamworth Rd, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B75 6LG

There is a wake which will be held at the Glascote WMC but due to numbers I would suggest that some might like to make use of the RBL Club (7 Aldergate, Tamworth B79 7DJ) or perhaps use the opportunity to visit the National Memorial Arboretum after the service has taken place (about fifteen minutes from Tamworth).

Standards:  Those thinking of bringing standards, it would aid us greatly if you arrived between 11:30 and 12:00.

Others intending to attend: Your attendance is greatly appreciated, can I suggest that you plan to be inside St Editha's no later than 12:20 as this will help us with seating and other domestics?

There will be a collecting box at the church, this will be distributed between various of the relevant bodies associated with Albert (including the Royal Marine Association).

Thank you again for your support of this event.
